Churchill Fellowships offer Australians the opportunity of a lifetime...
Churchill Fellowships offer Australians inspiring opportunities to travel overseas and investigate a topic or issue they are passionate about, that will benefit Australian communities.
In 2018, people who live or work in rural and regional areas are being encouraged to apply.
The Fellowships are open to anyone who would like to explore successful practices in other countries, after examining available options in Australia.
Because this award is held in such high regard around the world, travelling as a Churchill Fellow opens doors to access expertise that is not typically available, allowing recipients to expand their knowledge and experience, inspiring new ideas and innovation.
No specific qualifications are required and there are no limits either to the topics or issues that can be investigated, providing a benefit to Australia is evident, and the applicant is willing to share the knowledge gained.
About 100 Churchill Fellowships are available annually, including specific sponsored Fellowships relating to agriculture, fisheries and rural communities.
Applications open 1 February and close 27 April, for travel between February 2019 and January 2020.
