Simone Eyles

365 Cups

Simone Eyles is an entrepreneur who uses new technology to solve old problems.

Holding a graphic design degree, Simone began her first start-up in 2011 after a conversation with friend (now business partner) Marz about how fantastic it would be order coffee from your mobile phone.

The headline-grabbing 365cups is a genuine startup success story, whose international acclaim led to the development of two more apps for the hospitality industry - 365BLT and 365VipApp.

Due to their phenomenal business growth, Simone and Marz formed a new corporate entity, Marones, under which all apps are now developed.

Located in Wagga Wagga in regional NSW, Marones has built a global business proving that geographical location does not limit opportunity or success.

Simone is passionate about boosting regional Australia through disruptive technology and supporting other start-ups. Awarded the inaugural Beyond Bank Entrepreneur Grant for her co-working space ‘Working Spaces HQ’, Simone has created an environment that fosters entrepreneurship and economic development in the Wagga Wagga region by providing a co-working space and professional development programs and work opportunities to ensure members get the leg-up they need.

Scott McKinnon

We are excited to introduce our first speaker, Scott McKinnon, General Manager of Farmers Edge Australia. Scott will be speaking on “Business considerations taking your innovation to market – start up to corporation”.
Scott has over 25 years of sales & marketing experience, a practical commercial agribusiness background with an applied technology focus. Scott partners with and supports companies to bring new value to agribusiness, through addressing business challenges and innovatively deploying technology.

Sam Marwood

Meet our second speaker, Sam Marwood who will be talking to us about how to own a farm in our 20's!
Sam, a regional change agent who resigned from his stable, 12-year long Victorian government job in environmental policy in 2015 to start two environment-focused social enterprises.
Cultivate Farms and Edge Pledge, which are now building momentum to make significant change for agriculture in regional Australia.

Cultivate Farms matches young farming families with investors to own and operate a farm together. Sam grew up on a dairy farm, and understands the frustration of so many young people who want to farm, but can’t afford to own a multi-million dollar farm.
